About Myself
Full time tutor specialising in English for O/N level & A level students. 12 years of teaching experience and majored in English Literature for both my Bachelor & Masters degrees. My teaching methods focus on strengthening their writing and expression abilities as well as critical analysis. When teaching, I adhere to the student’s pace of learning and motivate the students at times. Most of my students improved tremendously and score an A for their A levels and A1/A2 for their O level exams.
My Experience
Full time tutor with more than 12 years of teaching experience, trained in Literature and majored in Literature at NTU I have taught English and literature for years to various secondary school students and am highly familiar with the Cambridge syllabus. I am also adept at writing and oral techniques, which is compulsory element of English, that is key in building their foundations in preparation for the O levels. I am highly patient and believe in nurturing students to their fullest potential. I also assess and create personalised notes after meeting the student based on the student’s needs and on what their school requires. I can also teach critical writing and literary skills currently and have also taught Singapore literature, and Literary Theories. For my tutees, I focus very much on their English and language progress, strengths and weaknesses etc and develop as well as customise learning and improvement strategies specifically for the student.
