About Myself
I’m committed, determined and optimistic in my students’ capability to make progress. Their grades, passions and grasp of concepts are my utmost priority. I believe in adjusting my pedagogies to fit every student’s needs as there is no one-size-fits-all learning style for all people. Thus, I strive to understand their areas of weaknesses in the subject before devising a suitable teaching plan for them to maximise their learning potential. I have had 7 private students throughout my 2 years of tutoring experiences. 3 were from my former primary school while the other 4 were from my secondary school (Nanyang Girls High School). I have won many awards in Math Olympiad Competitions (Third Place Award & Honour Roll Certificate in the American Math Competition, SMO Silver) during my High School years, was part of the SBGE (School Based Gifted Education) Programme and SMTP (Science Math Talent Programme) in Nanyang Girls High School. 2 of my students have managed to achieve a feat of grade improvement from B4 to A1 by the end of their sec 2 year, which I strongly credit to both their hard efforts and my patience & eye for detail.
My Experience
I have taught Math to 2 IP students from Nanyang Girls, both of whom maintained their A1 grades in Sec 3. I have taught Math to 1 P5 student, who maintained his A* grade at the end of PSLE. I have taught science to one P5 student before, one who improved from C to A in his final EOY exam. I have taught English to one P5 student before, one who improved from B to A* in his final EOY exam.
