About Myself
Undergraduate at NUS, Quantitative Finance. Diploma in Banking and Finance (Singapore Polytechnic, Diploma with Merit, Director's List) My current students have very weak foundational skills in Mathematics, which requires a lot of focused effort. I break down simple mathematical concepts that they struggle to grasp in school and ensure they fully understand each topic before progressing to more complex material. With my experience, I am very understanding of the different needs of students and adaptable to the teaching styles that work best for each individual. I tailor my approach to ensure that all students can overcome their challenges and succeed.
My Experience
I am currently teaching Mathematics to a Secondary 2 Normal Academic student and a Primary 4 student. I have been working with my Secondary 2 student for a year, and in that time, she has made significant progress, improving from consistently failing to now passing her Maths exams. We are continuing to work together to help her achieve an even higher level of proficiency. For my Primary 4 student, I have been tutoring her for the past few months. Remarkably, within just three lessons, her results improved from failing to passing. We are still working together to further strengthen her Maths skills. Previously I taught another Primary 5 student. I helped my student build a steady foundation in Maths which they did not previously have.
