About Myself
I am a responsible, patient and approachable full-time tutor, with experience teaching more than 50 private tutees of various academic levels and learning abilities over the years. I will adapt to the pace of the student when explaining fundamental concepts, and incorporate more challenging problem sums as the student progresses in his/her learning. I had had very positive results with my students, many of whom saw noticeable improvement in their grades within a short span of 1-3 months. More importantly, their attitudes and confidence transformed as they started to score well in their previously weak subjects, which further encourages them to try harder, thus setting off a virtuous cycle.
My Experience
Currently teaching secondary English at St Hilda's Sec Sch. Materials and resources provided to aid in students' grasp of concepts and understanding. Have taken many batches of O level classes over the years and am very familiar with the marking and assessment for the English O level papers. Motivating students to do well through clear strategies for success and strong rapport. Familiar with O level curriculum and am very experienced with the syllabus and marking scheme. Equipped with materials and notes to help my students understanding.
