About Myself
Over the years, my tutoring experience mainly involves around primary school students, especially those in upper primary. Last year’s p5 (p6 currently) scored 86 for her eoy. Many of my PSLE students over the years have also scored AL1s, and AL2s for their English. I have materials and techniques for my students to improve on their answering technique and exam solving skills. I have a strong track record of producing distinctions for my private tutees over the years. I am patient and I believe that students all have the potential to learn and improve as long as they have a love for the subject. I also believe that my adapting my teaching methods would suit every student's needs and ability and that’s why I believe in differentiating my strategies and resources for the students. I am familiar with current MOE syllabus as well as the updated PSLE scoring format, able to provide materials and tailor the lesson to each individual student's needs.
My Experience
16 years of teaching experience with MOE, former English teacher at Guangyang Secondary. Specialist in Pri and Sec level English. For my classes, I'll focus on various components that will be eventually tested under the PSLE English syllabus. Emphasis on grammar, vocabulary building and reading aloud of passages for fluency development for lower primary. I try to use real life examples from the respective student's backgrounds to explain a grammatical concept or the definition of a word.
