About Myself
I am a psychotherapist and counsellor. I hold a CELTA certification, speech and drama certification and other related training qualifications. Despite graduating as the above, I have been teaching and conducting speech and drama and debate workshops in local primary and secondary schools. Having psychology background really helped me alot these years as a teacher as it helped me to teach with empathy-efficacy method. I believe in understanding the learner as a person, rather than a student in order to make the learning process fruitful and smooth.
My Experience
15 years of experience in teaching IB students for both lower and upper level for more than 8 years. The last I taught was actually an ACSI girl who was doing IB Psychology. Adept with both the research and theory components of the subject and am strong in giving students an overall understanding of the framework. They have all successfully graduated with many scoring 6 & 7 for their IB exams. I have handled many AEIS students who have successfully graduated and some are even young adults now. I was teaching in centres and language schools, providing business and conversational skills lessons to foreigners learning English. My students range from pre-schoolers to adults.
