About Myself
Hello! My name is Stefanie, and I’ve always enjoyed helping others learn. Growing up in secondary school and JC, I often explained concepts to my classmates, and I realised that teaching comes naturally to me. Even now, as a medical student, I still help my peers understand difficult topics, and I truly enjoy breaking things down in a clear and supportive way. My experience working with children in childcare centres has taught me patience, strong communication skills, and how to adjust my explanations to suit different learning styles. As a tutor, I aim to create a comfortable and encouraging environment where students feel confident asking questions and exploring new ideas. I take time to explain concepts step-by-step and use simple examples or stories to make learning easier and more engaging. I’m committed to being reliable, professional, and fully supportive of each student’s progress, and I hope to help them build both understanding and confidence in their studies.
My Experience
Although I have not held an official tutoring position, I have extensive experience helping others learn in both academic and childcare settings: • Medical School Peer Teaching – I have actively assisted my peers in understanding challenging topics, breaking down complex concepts into clear, step-by-step explanations. This experience has strengthened my ability to communicate effectively, adapt explanations to different learning styles, and support students’ understanding. • Secondary School and JC Peer Teaching – I often helped classmates grasp difficult subjects, which developed my patience and natural teaching skills. • Childcare Experience – Working in childcare centres allowed me to guide children through activities, explain new ideas, and tailor my communication to different age groups. These experiences have prepared me to be a patient, supportive, and effective tutor, capable of helping students gain both understanding and confidence in their studies.

I obtained all As for my GCE O levels and A for H2 Chemistry and Biology and B for H2 Maths for A levels
