About Myself
NIE-trained educator with 16 years of experience teaching Lower Secondary Science, as well as Upper Secondary Pure and Combined Chemistry. Experienced in guiding students through the MOE syllabus with a strong focus on conceptual understanding, exam skills, and academic improvement. Provide resources and customised help to my students. Physics specialist for Sec 1-4 students. As a current MOE teacher, I am well-versed and in touch with the government curriculum as well as the Cambridge O level system and marking rubrics. I am also able to provide my students with school materials and exam papers to aid in their understanding and grasp on concepts.
My Experience
Current Chemistry teacher at Zhonghua Secondary School. I have been a MOE teacher for close to 20 yrs. I'm very familiar with the MOE syllabus and exam curriculum, I specialise in upper secondary and cover mainly O level classes in school. Familiar with Cambridge exam format and requirements, I have taken several upper sec batches in preparation of the O levels. I am also an O level examiner and marker, and am very familiar with the exam format and marking schematics used. I am a passionate and dedicated educator whose core teaching belief is to nurture students to become independent learners. Having worked with many students mainly from the various IP and neighbourhood schools , I am exposed to different learning styles and abilities, I am experienced in utilising a variety of teaching strategies to meet their needs, which include differentiated learning. Besides teaching the content, I could also help students in improving their own revision strategies, planning and problem solving skills. Most of my students have shown improvement up to 3 grades or more and many of them have gone on to score As in the A/O level exams
