About Myself
As a full-time tuition teacher in Singapore, I am passionate about teaching and helping every student reach their full potential. I chose to tutor full-time so I can give each child focused and personalised attention, planning lessons based on their learning pace, strengths, and areas to improve. I believe that building a positive and trusting relationship is very important. When students feel safe to ask questions and make mistakes, they become more confident and motivated. I always create a supportive environment where they feel comfortable to clarify doubts and challenge themselves. I keep myself updated with the latest MOE syllabus and exam requirements so my students are well-prepared for school and national exams. I compile practice papers from different government schools and create my own targeted worksheets to strengthen specific concepts. This exposes students to different question types and difficulty levels, helping them handle unfamiliar and higher-order questions confidently. Besides mastering content, I focus on strong fundamentals, critical thinking, answering techniques, time management, and avoiding common mistakes. I also track progress regularly and give constructive feedback so both parents and students can clearly see improvement over time.
My Experience
I have been tutoring full-time in Singapore for 13 years, teaching students from Primary to JC and IB levels. I prepare students for PSLE, N Levels, O Levels, A Levels, and IB, and I have taught in schools like Jurong West Secondary School, Swiss Cottage Secondary School, Frontier Primary School, and Princess Elizabeth Primary School (non-NIE trained). I teach Primary English, Math, Science and Tamil; Secondary English, E/A Math, Science (Physics/Chemistry), Tamil and History; and JC/IB GP, H2 Economics and IB English (SL/HL). With over a decade of experience, I stay updated with the latest MOE syllabus and exam standards to keep my students well-prepared. My lessons are structured, interactive, and focused on real understanding, not memorising. I am firm about homework quality and closely track progress to improve weak areas. I provide curated school papers, varied worksheets, targeted practice, and clear notes. My PSLE students have all scored at least A (AL1–AL4). My O Level students score no lower than B3, with improvements such as English from D7 to B3 and Math from C6 to A2. My A Level students improved from U to B in GP and scored at least B in H2 Economics, while IB English students improved from 4 to 5 or 6 within a year. I work closely with both students and parents and stay fully committed to their progress.
