About Myself
Educational professional with more than 25 years of teaching experience as a bilingual teacher in English and Tamil Language. Competent to teach non-core subjects like social studies, performing arts, pastoral care and character & citizenship education (CCE). Adapt in planning, enhancing and executing subject curriculum, resources and programs delivery methods by leveraging on educational trends. Planned and created ICT learning packages to integrate technology for engaged and self-directed learning. Worked and taught neurologically divergent special needs students with ASD, ADHD and Dyslexic. Past 3 years I am pursuing my interest in Special Needs Education and exploring further by doing ad hoc relief teaching as a SPED teacher. Develop a deep understanding of student’s background across diversity and helped students to create awareness of social, cultural and moral values within and outside the classroom. Impart learning and thinking life skills to students to be competent learners. Mentor newer teachers to be responsive in the department to ensure that they have adapted quickly to the curriculum and students’ needs. Planned, organized and conducted cultural and academic based programs in the school and at cluster level. Worked with LISHA to plan, coordinate and execute their Pongal, Tamil New and Deepavali cultural programs and activities for students of upper primary and secondary level.
