About Myself
I am an experienced and results-driven private tutor with over eight years of teaching experience in PSLE subjects, including English, Mathematics, Science, and Chinese. I have a strong track record of helping students improve their grades through structured lessons, targeted practice, and clear concept explanation. My expertise includes phonics, English listening comprehension, and oral communication, where I focus on building strong language foundations and boosting students’ confidence. I am also well-versed in preparing international students for the AEIS (Admissions Exercise for International Students), supporting their successful entry into Singapore government schools. In addition, I coach students for Cambridge English qualifications such as A2 Key (KET) and B1 Preliminary (PET), which are essential pathways for AEIS admission. At the secondary level, I specialize in strengthening English proficiency, particularly in comprehension, essay writing (narrative, expository, argumentative), editing, and summary skills. I adopt a systematic and student-focused teaching approach. At the start of each assignment, I assess the student’s current level and clearly outline learning goals aligned with the MOE syllabus. Lessons are carefully structured, with regular homework, practice papers, and targeted exercises to reinforce understanding and track progress. Known for being patient, attentive, and meticulous, I adapt my teaching methods to suit each student’s learning style. As a bilingual tutor, I am able to bridge language gaps effectively, especially for students who require additional support in understanding English concepts. My goal is not only to help students achieve academic improvement but also to build their confidence and independent learning skills.
My Experience
My teaching experience emphasis heavily on all PSLE subjects especially English. I am very focus on grammar improving students vocabulary essay writing and comprehension. PSLE English Paper emphasize strongly on paper 1 and 2 besides listening comprehension and stimulus base conversation. Areas like synthesis transformation, comprehension cloze and comprehension open ended are taught to students making sure they are proficient in these areas through assignments and homework. Besides PSLE I also teach foreign students who wants to enter local government school through AEIS . Foreign students are required to take Cambridge exams - A2key and B1 preliminary in writing , listening, oral and comprehension before being accepted into government school. I have taught secondary level English over the years preparing students to be fluent in different types of essay writing and comprehension
