About Myself
Every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit individual learning preferences and pace. Whether a student is struggling to keep up, aiming to improve their grades, or striving for top distinctions, I create a supportive and engaging learning environment that encourages questions, critical thinking, and independent problem-solving. Beyond helping students achieve excellent examination results, my goal is to cultivate logical thinking, analytical skills, and confidence—abilities that will continue to benefit them throughout university and their future careers.
My Experience
I'm a graduate from the National University of Singapore (NUS), holding a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. With a strong mathematical foundation developed through both my academic training and teaching experience, I specialise in JC H2 Mathematics as well as university-level Engineering Mathematics. Mathematics has always been at the heart of engineering. Throughout my time at NUS, I studied advanced mathematical topics including calculus, differential equations, linear algebra, vectors, numerical methods, and mathematical modelling, applying these concepts to solve complex engineering problems. This allows me to help students not only understand mathematical techniques but also appreciate their practical applications in science and engineering. My teaching philosophy centres on developing genuine understanding rather than rote memorisation. I believe that once students understand the underlying concepts and logic behind each topic, they become much more confident when tackling unfamiliar or higher-order examination questions. I break down difficult concepts into simple, intuitive steps, ensuring that every lesson builds a strong foundation before progressing to more challenging applications.
