About Myself
Every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit individual learning preferences and pace. Whether a student is struggling to keep up, aiming to improve their grades, or striving for top distinctions, I create a supportive and engaging learning environment that encourages questions, critical thinking, and independent problem-solving. Beyond helping students achieve excellent examination results, my goal is to cultivate logical thinking, analytical skills, and confidence—abilities that will continue to benefit them throughout university and their future careers. Every lesson is tailored to the student's individual learning needs. Students who require additional support receive step-by-step guidance to strengthen their fundamentals, while stronger students are challenged with higher-order application questions and examination techniques that prepare them for the demands of the A-Level syllabus. I also provide carefully selected practice materials and targeted revision resources to reinforce learning and address specific areas for improvement.
My Experience
I am a graduate from the National University of Singapore (NUS), holding a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. With a strong mathematical foundation developed through my engineering education, I specialise in JC H2 Mathematics, helping students develop both conceptual understanding and effective problem-solving skills. Taken students from VJC, RI, HCI, NJC, TJC, DHS, RVHS, ACJC, TMJC etc. My teaching philosophy focuses on building a strong understanding of mathematical concepts before introducing examination techniques. Rather than relying on memorisation, I guide students to understand the logic behind each topic, enabling them to approach unfamiliar and higher-order questions with confidence. I simplify complex concepts into clear, systematic steps and help students develop structured methods to tackle challenging problems. Lessons are tailored to each student's learning needs and pace. For students requiring additional support, I focus on strengthening their fundamentals through patient guidance and targeted practice. For stronger students, I provide more demanding questions and advanced problem-solving strategies to prepare them for the rigour of the A-Level examinations.
