About Myself
To reinforce learning, I prepare my own revision notes, curated worksheets and mock assessments, while also providing carefully selected school examination papers for additional practice. I teach effective checking strategies to minimise careless mistakes and regularly highlight common misconceptions so that students develop good mathematical habits from an early stage. Beyond lessons, I am always happy to support my students with their school homework through step-by-step explanations, ensuring they receive timely help whenever needed. My students and parents often describe me as patient, organised and dedicated. Having guided many students to significant improvements over the years, my goal is not only to help children achieve excellent results in Mathematics, but also to nurture confidence, independence and a genuine enjoyment of learning.
My Experience
Full time math tutor with over 9 years of teaching experience and a strong understanding of the Singapore Mathematics syllabus. While I have extensive experience preparing students for national examinations, I am equally passionate about helping Primary students build a strong mathematical foundation that will prepare them for PSLE success and beyond. My lessons are carefully structured to follow the school curriculum while addressing each student's individual learning needs. I believe that confidence in Mathematics begins with a solid understanding of concepts, so I explain solutions step by step using simple, relatable examples before progressing to more challenging problem-solving questions. Students who require additional support receive patient guidance to strengthen their fundamentals, while stronger students are challenged with higher-order questions that develop critical thinking and prepare them for top PSLE performance.
