About Myself
Having worked with students of different abilities over the years, I am able to identify learning gaps quickly and tailor my lessons accordingly. For students who are struggling, I focus on rebuilding their fundamentals and confidence. For stronger students, I provide more challenging questions to develop deeper problem-solving and higher-order thinking skills. I bring both extensive classroom experience and a strong foundation in teaching methodology. My goal is to help students not only improve their examination results, but also become confident, independent problem-solvers who have a lasting understanding of Mathematics.
My Experience
I am an experienced MOE Mathematics teacher with 18 years of teaching experience, having taught at schools including St Joseph’s Institution (SJI) and Yuying Secondary School (currently). I hold a Master’s in Education specialising in Mathematics from NIE, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from NIE. With almost two decades of classroom experience, I have developed a strong understanding of the MOE Mathematics curriculum, examination requirements and the common challenges students face at the secondary-school level. I am particularly experienced in helping students strengthen their mathematical foundations, develop effective problem-solving skills and prepare confidently for national examinations.
